What if planning for what happens after you're gone could actually be fun?
Building on the popular How to Write Your Own Obituary webinar, Write Your Own Ending is a four-week interactive experience designed to help you put the important things down on paper, while giving you plenty of room to laugh, think, remember, and maybe surprise yourself along the way.
Together, we'll tackle the things most of us tend to put off: telling your story, making your wishes known, planning the kind of celebration you'd want, and putting some of the words you've always wanted to say to the people you love in writing.
This isn't a lecture series, and you won't just be sent home with homework and good intentions. Each session includes guided instruction, practical tools, prompts, and dedicated time to actually do the work. You'll have some work to complete between sessions, but you'll never be left wondering where to start.
By the end of four weeks, you’ll have a personal collection of things that matter: your story, your wishes, your plans, and your words, organized, complete, and ready to become a lasting gift for the people you love.
And because this is personal, sharing is always your choice. You can participate fully without ever having to read your writing or share anything you'd rather keep private.
Four weeks. A little planning. A lot of meaning. And hopefully quite a few laughs along the way.
Across four 90‑minute sessions, you’ll address:
You’ll learn, write, make decisions, and have dedicated time to work, with guidance throughout. Sharing is always optional; privacy is always respected.
Participants should expect approximately 60 to 90 minutes of additional work between most sessions, depending on how much they choose to write and refine.
